The Application of UVC Used in Synergy with Surface Material to Prevent Marine Biofouling

Biofouling is problematic for the shipping industry and can lead to functional financial setbacks. One possible means of biofouling prevention use ultraviolet-C (UVC) light. Previous studies have investigated UVC with marine coatings, but synergistic effect color surface material, specifically reflectance, has yet be determined.
